The Accomplished Southern Statesman Ram


 My childhood memories of seeing him was in my teenage where I went to greet newly appointed Deputy CM with my elder brother,orthopaedician in early 2000's. Evening I hoped on bike with my brother to power center of  Karnataka Vidhansoudha .It seems he had met with small accident landed up in hospital ,got first aid by my on  duty brother.He had told my brother he will win in next elections and come n meet me at Vidhansoudha.

 Largeflock gathered at his office.The Teak semi door  on hinges moved to n fro. White clad peon was taking a visitors note to this Minister and few influentials were sneaking in. To cut short line my brother jotted a line Dr......., Orthopedic Sugeon Kunigal .... On a piece of paper . Within  few minutes we got a call to get in.Inside the crowd was double the people waiting out.  Moment my brother greeted, he recalled incidents happened years before.Boy,he had a elephant memory greeting each one with name and last met anecdotes. Hesat  with halo of dazzling ceiling light sparkling on spectacles,with stubble beard. khadi dhoti suit with a white silk cloth hanging across his  shoulders. He was busy chating ,pating few visitors on back ,  riveting hearts across without discrimination of poor n rich,high n low, intellectuals and laggards,through his effective body language n  hand movements making audience gesture in unison during the occasional pauses amidst speech to hear the resounding cheers ,yes he is Orator par excellence.

 Yeshe is none other than Sri Siddaramaih who took oath as CM of Karnataka for the second time . The Shepherd who was ridiculed back then by affluent media about his worthiness of finance ministry. Today he has clocked one of highest record budget presentations ,with numbers n statistics dancing on tongue fluently .

Also known for as favours bestower :'Bhagyada Sardara'  , and astute fiscal prudence during his 1st tenure of Chief minister ship.His first cabinet was most inclusive giving representation to all communities,many still today compare it to be a political anubhava mantapa: experiential pavilion of Sir Basavanna of 12thcentury philosopher,saint.

You many like or not,he has huge fan following and is a popular  mass leader ,with people brimming of hope to see a good day n able administration.

Today he has rosen on self made path,with no godfathers and has equal number of haters. And the Hatred is because he can upset the applecart of all the opponents by cool political moves.

In Democracy of India ,he is the finest example of how a subaltern can outshine the majority by sticking on ideology of AHINDA; acronym for coming together of Minority,Backward Class,The   Dalits to hold on to political power.

Now the veteran Ram, is waiting patiently ,stocking it's might n power to the shake the power center at Delhi. It will be a fan moment for his huge fans ,he is  destined to  lead this nation one day.

THITHI- kannada movie review of laughing date with death .

Its been long ago,a kannada movie made me slip into reverie dwelling on the plot, cast, realitistic drama or foot tapping music or lip syncing lyrics. Mango showers had started last fortnight,entire kannada film making fraternity was in a buzz, tripping on news of National award for debutant directorial movie THITHI. Title itself is sort of colloqial word which has varied expression n expectation , a 11th day post funeral gathering to see off the departed soul. Pun apart thithi in old mysore rural region is gala of perfect non-vegetarian dishes served with ragi balls. Assuming movie to be 'me too ' types had not given a thought of watching it, well the word of mouth was fast spreading my maid was in all praise for the thithi,who had influenced my mother as a best watch.
