THITHI- kannada movie review of laughing date with death .

Its been long ago,a kannada movie made me slip into reverie dwelling on the plot, cast, realitistic drama or foot tapping music or lip syncing lyrics. Mango showers had started last fortnight,entire kannada film making fraternity was in a buzz, tripping on news of National award for debutant directorial movie THITHI. Title itself is sort of colloqial word which has varied expression n expectation , a 11th day post funeral gathering to see off the departed soul. Pun apart thithi in old mysore rural region is gala of perfect non-vegetarian dishes served with ragi balls. Assuming movie to be 'me too ' types had not given a thought of watching it, well the word of mouth was fast spreading my maid was in all praise for the thithi,who had influenced my mother as a best watch. Resilience of Son of Soil

Late evening after a busy training schedule on Vector borne disease, just stepped out of  Kendriya sadan- central government towers in kormangala,bengaluru. From there i had to reach West of chord towards my home. Taking out my smart phone just logged into newly downloaded Cab service app Uber. Thought of experimenting with Uber pool where in multiple customers can pool into a same cab plying in the same route. After swiping the tab for booking a cab, got a call from a unknown number ,there he was the driver confirming my location. In a jiffy he was there, picked me up, something was miss in his attire,wasnt looking like a typical professional cab driver. His colloquial accent made me acknowledge he seems to be from northern part of karnataka, for we have n number of accent of same language kannada depending on bordering satates.
